Data Deletion Policy

1. Your Right to Data Deletion

At LariLocator, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. This policy explains how to make a data deletion request and what happens when your data is deleted.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

2.1 Through the App

  1. Open the LariLocator app and sign in
  2. Go to the Profile tab
  3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. Enter your password (accounts created with Google sign-in skip this step)
  5. Tap "Delete" — your account is deleted immediately

2.2 Via Email

Send an email to privacy@larilocator.comwith the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Phone number associated with your account
  • Reason for deletion (optional)

2.3 Via Contact Form

You can also submit a data deletion request through our Contact page.

3. What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently deleted:

  • Your profile information (name, email address, phone number, city and area)
  • Your password and sign-in access — the account can no longer be used
  • Your saved stalls
  • Your device's push notification token

For Vendor Accounts

In addition to the above:

  • Your stall is removed from LariLocator's map, search and listings
  • The stall's phone and WhatsApp numbers are deleted

4. Data We May Retain

Certain data may be retained even after account deletion for legal and legitimate business purposes:

  • Reviews: Reviews you posted may be retained in anonymized form (with your name removed) to maintain the integrity of vendor ratings.
  • Orders and chats:Orders and messages you exchanged with a vendor or customer stay in the other person's history, shown as "Deleted user" instead of your name.
  • Transaction Records: Basic transaction records may be retained for up to 5 years as required by tax and business regulations in India.
  • Legal Compliance: Data required for ongoing legal proceedings or to comply with legal obligations.

5. Processing Time

Deletion from inside the app takes effect immediately. Requests sent by email or through the contact form are processed within 30 days of receipt, and you will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted. During this period, your account will be deactivated and inaccessible.

6. Consequences of Deletion

Please be aware that once your data is deleted:

  • Your account cannot be recovered
  • You will lose access to all saved favorites and order history
  • Any active orders or conversations will be cancelled
  • If you wish to use LariLocator again, you will need to create a new account
